Located in the northern part of Portugal, Braga is a historic city whose history dates back as far as the Iron Age when the region was home to Celtic tribes. One of the city’s most well-known and popular attractions is the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, a Roman Catholic chapel built in the 14th century that is famous for its intricate Baroque style, especially its elaborate Stairway of the Five Senses.
