Located in southwestern Poland on the Oder River, the history of the city of Wroclaw dates back to the 11th century. It is Poland’s third-largest city with a population of just under 700,000 residents. More than 130,000 of the people living in Wroclaw are students. Poland’s oldest and largest zoo, the Wroclaw Zoo opened in 1865 and today is one of the most visited zoos in Europe.
