Business Class Seats On Virgin Australia's New A330

We've got the first photos of the new cabin and seats that takes flight today on the new Airbus A330 from Virgin Australia. The upgrades in the Airbus include a reduction in the number of seats in the business class section located in the fuselage of the aircraft. The airline changed from a 2-2-2 seat layout to one that passengers will quickly come to love, a friendlier 1-2-1 configuration. No one will have worry about crawling over their neighbor, since everyone will have direct aisle access. Taking inspiration from the makers of premium auto interiors, the seats are now more stylish and made with a carbon fiber shell. The design came from Tangerine London with B/E responsible for the manufacture. Plenty of room for personal storage is created by the handy stowage nooks and shelving. The seats are angled towards the windows.

For added comfort, there is side table just right for a drink and magazine. Underneath the table, travelers will find USB ports and power outlets. Even during take offs, it's okay to leave devices plugged for charging.  The dining table provides additional space to work, while a sweet storage area is placed next to the passenger for headphones. A blanket and pillow are available at every seat.

Since the airline regularly makes overnight flights like the red-eye from Perth to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, the seat has been designed for easy conversion to a flat bed topped with a lush memory foam mattress, doonas, and high quality cotton pillows. For added privacy, the seat is equipped with a shell that wraps around the passenger and turns their seat into a suite.

A perspex privacy screen sits between the middle seats. They are angled towards each other, and the screen can be slid back in case the seat mates wish to talk to each other.

Virgin has a new user interface on its high definition 16 inch display. Group chat functions have been added. If you don't want to interrupt the entertainment but you need to adjust your position, there is a second display available on the side of the seat.

Meals are available throughout the entire flight. However, when you just want a snack, they've got you covered with their express dining service. Luke Mangan, Virgin Australia's head chef, prepared this one earlier.

Virgin promises to deliver the best coffee in the air. They've installed a custom made Nespresso machine dedicated to delivering on that promise. It's the first one ever installed in an Airbus 330. If you're looking to experience these luxurious business class seats for yourself, then you're going to definitely want to give us a call.
